Asset Web Design is a Pearland, Texas Web design and development company specializing in Web sites for small businesses.  Our mission is to design and develop Web sites that work for our clients.

Asset Web Design was founded by Bennie Matusek.  Bennie graduated from the University of Houston where he earned his Bachelor and Master degrees in Computer Science, specializing in Web Technologies.  His first taste of professional Web work came while working at NASA.  “Our group, the Space Station Remote Manipulator System (SSRMS) team needed some way to keep track of all our paperwork and files, and we decided that a Web site was the way to go.  Creating a ‘war-room’ with all our project status reports just a click away was absolutely revolutionary!  And to think that I got to do something graphically creative in the process was just icing on the cake,” says Bennie.  After NASA, Bennie worked for TradeCast as a Web developer helping to bring their online stock trading software used by day-trading firms to the public.

In 1999, Asset Web Design became a reality.  “Our company started out as a one-man show.  NASA and TradeCast were my first customers and I accepted almost any kind of consulting work – logo design, technical support, computer tutorials, computer repair, etc.  However, I quickly realized that we could produce high quality Web sites only by focusing on Web-related offerings and including people with skills and specializations in each of the areas of Web design – graphics, programming, and system administration – and thus our group was born.”

Over the years, Asset Web Design has grown to build Web sites of all types.  We’ve built simple Web sites, member Web sites, e-commerce Web sites, and Web sites for automating whole business processes.  Our client database has grown to include companies in other states as well as other countries.  We offer a full range of Web-related services, such as domain name registration, Web design, Web hosting, e-mail hosting, e-commerce solutions, online security products, and search engine submissions.  In addition, we’ve added several unique Web-related services such as our monitoring services for detecting server and e-mail problems – usually before our clients do.

As a small business, we understand that being in business is tough and sometimes understanding technology is even tougher.  As such, we do our best to make getting a Web site simple, because we want every client to succeed.  It’s what we’ve always done, and what we’ll continue to do as we look to the future.
